comment for a chance to win!

In an attempt to simplify my life, I am tossing, donating, selling and gifting things away things. This one qualifies as a gift to one lucky commenter.......with one condition: Pay It Forward. Do something kind for someone else.

i love PAY IT FORWARDS :) My neighbor is elderly but she's really into gardening so we've become really good friends and she's taught me a lot about gardening. She doesnt like using coupons but it saves me alot of dough, so she gives me her coupon inserts and lately with the double coupon specials (double coupons up to and including $2.00) I have been able to buy not only our groceries but I get kitchen staples for her as well. She's always appreciative and I enjoy surprising her with little extras. She's considerably older than me but we've become pretty good friends and I value her wisdom.

keep up the great work on your blog :)

Aboiut a year ago, I did a comedy show at The Arbors, which is an assisted living facility. It was for The Rotary and they rented the room. I was wandering around the lobby before the show and a very old woman who was a resident there came up to me. She said "my family is coming to visit me", As she started going into details, the girl who worked there came and escorted her out. When the girl came back she told me that the old woman was confused and nobody has come to visit her in years. I felt so sad for her.
I was able to get her name from the girl who worked there and I sent her flowers the next day and signed it, from your loving family. I felt like I had to do something.

oh, misslissa, you are so sweet. your prizes are gorgeous. wow. and to stevie, everyone should read your story and to remember to treat others with kindness and respect, as you would want them to treat you, because one day we could be that woman in the assisted living home with no visitor. if she did not love or show affection to anyone in previous years, how can she expect any now? very sad indeed.
